    Laura Geitz – joining the Spartan team in 2011, Laura has been involved with developing exciting new netball products under the Spartan/Laura Geitz brand.

    Laura Geitz is one of the brightest young stars on the Australian Netball scene.  A silver medalist at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Laura is a rising talent of the Australian Diamonds. A great defender, Laura made her international debut in 2008.

    Growing up in Allora ‘the best little town on the Darling Downs’ the young Laura overcame some of the difficulties facing young, country sports stars getting noticed by national selectors. Having achieved national age-group honours, representing Australia at under 17 and under 19 level

    In 2011, Geitz played a major role for the Queensland Firebirds to not only win the ANZ Championship undefeated. In addition, Geitz was part of the Diamonds squad for the 2011 Netball World Championships in Singapore. Although Geitz did not play as Goal Keeper in the first half against New Zealand, her impact helped recover a six goal deficit to force the match into overtime. This move proved to be successful as Diamonds prevailed their rivals to a one goal victory.

    Laura is now keen to give back to young Australians, offering tuition to aspiring netballers through her nation wide netball clinics.
